SR-71A Blackbird

The Science Museum of Virginia is home to SR-71A #61-7968. This specific aircraft first flew on October 10, 1966 and logged 2,279 flight hours prior to its last flight on February 12, 1990. It set the endurance record for the SR-71 by traveling over 15,000 miles during a 10 hour, 30 minute flight on April 26, 1971.
